Hello! I'm Shelly Chambers, and I believe every piece of art has a story to tell. Through murals, book illustrations, mixed media, and paintings, I create artwork inspired by love, loss, growth, and faith. I also love helping others discover their own creativity by leading fun, welcoming painting parties in my home studio and on location.

Art That Speaks to Your Soul
This self-portrait in oils was created during a summer art session at MCAD as I prepared to begin my twenty-fourth year of teaching high school art.
Just days earlier, I had returned from a family vacation where we stopped at our favorite neighborhood ice cream stand. I wanted to capture not only the memory of that simple moment, but the genuine joy it brought me. Looking back, I realize this painting marked a turning point—it may have been the first time I truly saw myself not only as an art teacher, but as an artist.
Every piece has a story, and this one tells the beginning of mine.
