Studio Art
While not tailored for a specific individual, these pieces draw inspiration from a diverse array of sources and represent essential expressions that the artist feels compelled to create. Rooted in sheer creativity, joy, and the artistic process, this body of work is characterized by its expressiveness across various mediums, including watercolor, acrylics, and frequently, mixed media. Originals and prints of these artworks are available for purchase on the Shop page.

Mixed Media
My preferred artistic medium is mixed media. I find great satisfaction in starting with a foundation of watercolor or acrylic paint, subsequently layering with drawing, glazing, inking fine lines, cutting, gluing, and constructing upon this base. This method allows me to create a textured composition that effectively conveys a specific message.
Watercolor
Using various techniques such as lifting, bleeding, glazing and salt, these artworks show my love for watercolor and its demand for flexibility or spontaneity and a clear understanding of its translucent color layering on the artist's part.
Acrylics and Oils
Eclectic Collection
Working in opaque mediums is both satisfying and forgiving because given enough time, I can just repaint and
re-work the artwork until I am satisfied with the result.
Oil Pastels
Flower Studies
These artworks were studies and explorations into how to better use oil pastels with a variety of techniques including sgraffito, glazing, dry and wet blending, etc.
Alcohol Inks
Nature Abstractions
The exceptional qualities of alcohol inks are exemplified in each of these works, which explore a range of subject matters or remain entirely abstract. Both approaches present considerable challenges, as this medium is notably difficult to manage. Enjoy the beauty of these unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
